Making Peach Puree From Fresh Peaches

We recently went to Panola Orchards in DeBerry, Texas to get some fresh peaches. We’ve been scheming a peach granola for our granola subscription (Granola Lovers Club) for June.

We decided to use some of the fresh peaches to create a puree to incorporate in our granola.

First we boiled the peaches for about 5 minutes. After a quick boil, we quickly transferred them to a little ice bath. This helps the skin come off easy, peasy!

After peeling all the peaches, they’re ready for the blender! Cut into slices, remove pits and toss slices in the blender. Use the puree setting and you’re done!

Here’s our fresh peach puree, the base of our peach cobbler granola! You can refrigerate puree to use within a couple of days or freeze for much longer! Happy puree-ing! Kelli
